Clinical Veterinarian opportunity
Location: Laval, Qc, Canada, H7V 1B7 (Boul. des Prairies) / Free parking
Job Summary:
As a Clinical Veterinarian for our team located in Laval, you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.
In this role, key responsibilities may include:
Provide optimal medical care, diagnosis, and treatments as per accepted veterinary practices
Provide professional expertise for guidance on procedures and techniques involving animals
Review and optimize animal monitoring and SOPs related to animal care
Be a member of our animal ethic committee and lend your expertise to evaluate all procedures performed on animals before studies begin
Key Elements:
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:
Good observation skills
Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
Understanding of written English is mandatory. Bilingualism French and English is preferable.
Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine
Valid OMVQ license or equivalent
Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.
Role Specific Information:
Work-life balance: Mostly daytime Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs, you will have to do evening, night, and weekend rotation on call.
