Important Dates

The following are important deadlines for anyone considering taking an exam. Please note that all dates are subject to change, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, but updates will be communicated with as much notice as possible. Candidates are encouraged to double-check this site at least two weeks before any milestone date in their exam process.

Travel to an oral/practical examination site is the responsibility of the candidate. All efforts will be made by the organization to connect candidates with examination sites as close to them as possible. No extensions are provided without medical reasons and documentation.

Certification Exam Application Deadlines

*New* For ARLAT Applicants:  
CALAS/ACSAL Orientation applications submitted before September 5 will be processed as soon as possible to facilitate its completion, enabling an application to the ARLAT Certification Exam. Orientation applications submitted after September 5 will require ARLAT Exam application in the following year.


September 5^th
Orientation applications must be submitted online by midnight.

October 1^st 

RMLAT exam applications must be submitted online by midnight.

October 16^th 

ARLAT/RLAT exam applications must be submitted online by midnight.

By End of November

All applicants are notified of their application status (accepted/rejected), and all study materials will be posted.

December 15^th*

Last date for Candidates to withdraw or change applications. A $40.00 (+HST) withdrawal fee will be charged. No refunds will be made after this date*.

Deferrals of an exam will be considered for a medical reason only, and the candidate must present a doctor’s note to be reviewed by the Certification Committee for final approval.
